 One-two for Fiat Punto Abarth Rally (Super 1600) in the last and eleventh event of 2004 Italian Rally Championship,88th TargaFlorio.
Paolo Andreucci (with Anna Andreussi as co-driver) and Giandomenico Basso (with Mitia Dotta as co-driver) dominated the race, being able to finish 1st and 2nd in front of Citroen (Luca Rossetti) and Renault (Andrea Dallavilla). Fiat Punto Abarth Rally (Super 1600) won 6 special stages with Andreucci and 1 with Basso out of the 11 run. Thanks to this result Fiat Punto Abarth (Super 1600) is the most winning car of the whole Italian Rally Championship : 5 win out of 11 rallies (Ciocco, Mille Miglia, San Martino di Castrozza, Alpi Orientali and Targa Florio), more than Subaru, Renault and Peugeot, to score a one-two in theTrofeo Nazionale CSAI for Super 1600 cars Classification with the same Andreucci and Basso.
At the wheel of Fiat Punto Abarth Rally (Super 1600), Andreucci won for the second time in a row Targa Florio. This win adds to the other ones of Fiat cars in this event:
 Felice Nazzaro (1907, second edizion of the race), Giulio Masetti (1921), Fabio Colonna (1957), Vudafieri-Mannucci (1979) e Pasutti-Stradiotto (1980).
Andreucci 2003 Italian Rally Champion - reached the leadership after the 5th special stage and maintained it till the end.
Other three Fiat Punto Abarth Rally in the first eight position of the Overall Classification : Stefano Bizzarri (5th), Nicola Caldani (7th) and Matteo Gamba (8th). With this 5th place, Stefano Bizzarri is the winner of the 2004 Trofeo Fiat Abarth, Matteo Gamba won the Under 27 Classification.
